Biography
Associate Professor in the Systems and Production Engineering Department at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis-Brazil. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, where he has played the role of Industrial Manager and Regional Continuous Improvement Manager with teams in USA, Brazil, Mexico and Uruguay. He is currently the research supervisor of the Laboratory of Productivity and Continuous Improvement at UFSC, where he leads a team of 15 researchers directly involved with the topic. His research can be found in high-impact journals, such as International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics and Supply Chain Management: an International Journal.
