Biography

Guilherme Zuccolotto is a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning academia and industry. As an Industry Program Manager at the Center for Advanced Systems Research and Education (CASRE) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), he leverages his extensive expertise in operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies to drive impactful initiatives.

With a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering, a Master's degree in Statistics, and a Master's degree in Lean Enterprise specializing in People-Centric Operational Excellence, Guilherme's academic journey reflects his dedication to integrating engineering principles with statistical analysis for optimizing systems and processes. He worked under Dr. Rupy Sawhney and Dr. John Kobza during his Ph.D. journey.

His Black Belt Lean Six Sigma, PMP, and Scrum Master certifications and experience as a consultant at DNC Group and the Center for Industrial Services (CIS) underscore his proficiency in process improvement and problem-solving techniques.

In addition to his roles in academia and consulting, Guilherme has made significant contributions as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at UTK's Industrial and Systems Engineering department. His research focus on People-Centric Operational Excellence, encompassing performance measurement systems, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the integration of artificial intelligence and regression models, has been instrumental in advancing the field.

Within CASRE, Guilherme also serves as the People-Centric Operational Excellence Programs Coordinator and Global Engagement Liaison, where his leadership has been pivotal in driving organizational transformation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Through his unwavering dedication, Guilherme Zuccolotto continues to inspire positive change and empower individuals and organizations to achieve their full potential in the realms of industrial engineering and systems research.
