Biography
Wolday was a graduate research assistant within the Center for Advanced Research and Education (CASRE), Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Tennessee, and worked under the supervision of Dr. Rupy Sawhney. He completed his MS. in Engineering Technology at Middle Tennessee State University, and his BS in Industrial Engineering at Mekelle University in Ethiopia.
Besides to his instructional and research experience in academia, he has about six years of industry experience, mainly in the automotive manufacturing and cement production sectors. He has also intensive exposure to the healthcare industry through internships, projects, and research works. Currently, he is working in developing a model that optimizes throughput based on flexibility for supply chain systems.
